Matthew Renoux
Licensed Independent Social Worker
My practice is built on a straightforward principle: once you see the pattern, you have the option to break it. For over a decade, I have worked with individuals navigating complex life transitions, deep-rooted anxiety, depression, and the heavy exhaustion of executive burnout. My background spans intensive work in community mental health and dual diagnosis, which taught me that sustainable change requires looking past surface-level symptoms.
My style is laid-back, deeply inquisitive, and heavily informed by an Eastern philosophical focus on awareness and clarity. I seamlessly integrate this perspective with evidence-based clinical structures like Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
I meet you exactly where you are. In this space, we seek to understand your internal landscape without judgment. By deeply investigating the invisible scripts running your life on autopilot, we don't just check clinical boxes—we cultivate the deep insight necessary for you to reclaim your agency and actively author your own life.
My Approach to Care
1
Grounded & Practical
We don't just talk about problems, we look at what is happening in your day-to-day life and build practical, actionable tools you can use the second you walk out the door.
3
Collaborative & Warm
You are the expert on your life. I am here as a collaborative partner to help you untangle the knots, offering a warm, non-judgemental space where you can show up exactly as you are.
Education & Training
I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) in the state of Ohio. I earned my Master of Social Work from the University of Cincinnati, where I developed a strong foundation in therapeutic principles and ethical practice.
I've sought out training in a variety of evidence-based modalities to offer a flexible and comprehensive approach. My training includes:
* Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
* Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT)
* Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
This allows me to tailor my approach to meet the unique needs of each person I work with.

Work Experience
Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) team
Lead Therapist for a Partial Hospitalization Day Treatment Program.
Individual Therapist
I spent a year on an Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) team and worked in community-based mental health, which gave me a broad understanding of how to support people facing complex challenges.
For seven years, I served as a Lead Therapist for a partial hospitalization day treatment program. In this role, I had the privilege of guiding individuals through intensive therapy, helping them develop coping skills and a deeper understanding of their inner world.
Most recently, I have applied my skills working with individuals and families. This experience has honed my ability to address a wide range of issues, including depression, anxiety, trauma, and behavioral challenges, by focusing on resilience and fostering positive growth.
